Arc the Triomphe in Paris (full French name – Arc de Triomphe de l´Étoile) was built by Napoleon Bonaparte for the charakter of his power and victory in battles. It was built since 1806 to 1836. It stands in the middle of the square Place de l´Etoile. Author of propsal was the architect Jean- Francois Chalgrin. Building is decorated with sculptures.
